There is only one meeting scheduled for today in the City of Two Rivers.
The Room Tax Commission will convene at 10:00 this morning in the Council Chambers, where they will start by getting an update on the Room Tax revenue.
Then, after going over the concept plans for the reuse of a water pumping station as the City’s new welcome center, the group will enter a closed session.
In that session, they will discuss their options for tourism, and the pending legal action by the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau.
They are seeking injunctive relief and possible other remedies against the City of Manitowoc with regard to use of room tax funds, with possible implications for Two Rivers.
This is the final meeting for the week in the Cool City.
