An 18-year-old student at Verona High School has been arrested for bringing a gun to school.
Tavion Flowers is charged with felony possession of a firearm on school property.
Security staff at the school called dispatchers Wednesday at about 12:35 p-m, saying they had confronted the student after getting a tip.
He was taken outside to a parking lot where police say a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun fell out of his waistband.
Security staff turned the weapon over to responding police officers and Verona police are investigating the incident with the administration at the high school.
