Veteran linebacker Whitney Mercilus played just four games for the Packers.
The team has announced he is out for the rest of the season with a torn bicep suffered against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday.
He was hurt while trying to sack quarterback Russell Wilson.
Green Bay gets better news from a pair of players who were also hurt in that game. Edge rusher Rashan Gary will try to keep playing with a hyper-extended elbow by wearing a brace.
Gary is set to have an M-R-I today (November 16th).
Standout running back Aaron Jones is expected to only miss one or two games with a mildly sprained knee.
