Workers at Advocate Aurora Health will now be getting paid more.
The hospital system announced late last week that they will start paying everyone a minimum of $18 per hour starting December 5th.
This is expected to apply to over 10,000 team members, including those who work in the food services and environmental services sectors.
As for those who already make more than $18 per hour, they will also be getting raises.
This change comes a couple of weeks after the HSHS Hospital System bumped their minimum wage up to $15 per hour.
