The Rittenhouse defense team is asking Kenosha County Judge Bruce Schroeder for a mistrial “with prejudice.”
That means Kyle Rittenhouse couldn’t be retried for killing two protesters in Kenosha last summer.
During cross-examination, prosecutors questioned the Illinois man about statements he made before the shootings.
Judge Schroeder had ruled those statements were inadmissible.
During arguments over the motion for dismissal, the judge shouted at Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger.
The judge said he will rule after the prosecution has a chance to respond.
Rittenhouse was on the stand answering questions Wednesday for several hours.
