Kyle Rittenhouse claims he “didn’t do anything wrong” when he fatally shot two protesters and wounded a third in Kenosha last summer.
Rittenhouse took the stand in his homicide trial today (Wednesday) and said “I didn’t intend to kill them, I intended to stop the people who were attacking me.”
The Illinois teen said that Joseph Rosenbaum had threatened him twice and had his hand on the barrel of his rifle when Rittenhouse shot him four times.
Prosecutors tried to show jurors a picture of Rittenhouse at a bar with members of the Proud Boys while he was out on bond, but the defense argued it was not relevant and the judge ruled the selfie was not admissible for a second time. Rittenhouse broke down in tears at one point during testimony.
