A domestic disturbance suspect and a Janesville police officer had to seek hospital treatment after a weekend arrest.
34-year-old Ryan Montcalm began fighting with officers as they tried to take him into custody Sunday.
Pepper spray was used unsuccessfully to bring Montcalm under control.
One of the officers suffered a back injury, sought treatment, and was released.
Montcalm is still at Mercy Hospital and his medical condition hasn’t been released.
He is charged with domestic violence, resisting or obstructing an officer, and causing substantial injury to an officer.
The officer’s name hasn’t been released.
