Authorities say a murder suspect has been arrested at a Burlington hospital.
38-year-old Derek Goplin of Antigo was taken into custody Wednesday at 7:15 p-m at Aurora Medical Center.
Goplin is accused of killing his mother and abandoning his five-year-old son at a hotel in Waukesha.
The boy was found alone inside Ingleside Hotel Monday morning.
He told police he watched his dad stab his grandmother to death in her home in Antigo.
When authorities checked, the body of 63-year-old Susan Reese was found.
Goplin faces a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
He’s being held in the Racine County Jail.
