Milwaukee’s county attorney is blaming low pay, the media, and a city alderman for staffing problems in his office.
Tearman Spencer talked about complaints against him during a Friday news conference.
He also addressed staff member departures and the vacancies in that office.
He called out one of his most vocal critics at City Hall – longtime Milwaukee Alderman Michael Murphy.
Spencer focused more on low pay than the office controversies when discussing the reasons for so many staff vacancies while cases are piling up.
He told reporters he can handle the challenges.
