The Diocese of La Crosse says that Bishop William Patrick Callahan has tested positive for COVID-19
74year-old Callihan is experiencing mild symptoms and is in good spirits and being monitored by a medical team.
His infection did not require hospitalization.
Bishop Callahan said in a statement, “It is at times such as this that we are reminded that the Lord provides us with strength and our salvation in times of distress.”
Callahan has been Bishop for the Diocese that covers 19 counties in west-central Wisconsin since 2010.
