An officer with the Sheboygan Police Department was honored recently at the State Capitol.
Officer Alicia Rotier was named the First Responder of the Year for the 26th and 27th Assembly Districts and was given the award by Representatives Tyler Vorpagel of Plymouth, and Terry Katsma of Oostburg.
Officer Rotier was nominated by Police Chief Christopher Domagalski, after she had responded to several incidents which required quick thinking, and on-scene leadership.
Thanks to Officer Rotier’s ability to stay cool under pressure, the four-year veteran of the department was recognized with the state-level accommodation.
