The Save the Veterans group in Manitowoc is preparing to clean all of the gravesites in Evergreen Cemetery that belong to Civil War veterans.
The cleaning will take place on Saturday, October 30th, starting at 9:00 AM.
In a news release, Dan Reinke explains that “All of the Civil War Gravestones are in need of our assistance and could use a good cleaning and scrubbing. Remembering those who have given their life to enable the freedoms we all now have in the USA is of the utmost importance as our country continues to be the greatest country ever created.”
Anyone who wishes to volunteer to help can do so by simply showing up, and grabbing some supplies, which will be provided.
