A new healthcare facility aimed at helping children is coming to Appleton.
Children’s Wisconsin has announced plans for a 50,000 square foot facility, which will both help children get the medical attention they need, while also lightening the load on the Milwaukee hospital.
Roughly 50,000 children receive care from Children’s Wisconsin each year, and half of them go to the Milwaukee campus.
This new facility will ease the stress at that campus, while also giving families an option closer to home.
The clinic will be located on East Evergreen Drive in Appleton and will give families access to services not previously offered in the area.
Construction on the clinic is expected to begin this fall, with an opening date planned for 2023.
