The trial for a man arrested following a triple fatal crash last year in Green Bay has been postponed.
23-year-old Abdi Ahmed is facing three counts of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide, as Police say he was driving the vehicle that killed Jessie Saldana, Sonia Gonzalez-Guillen, and Sonia Gonzalez on Lombardi Avenue last year.
The reason for the postponement is a debate regarding evidence.
The defense wants to submit evidence that one of the victims had drugs in their system, namely marijuana and amphetamine, which would have impaired his driving.
The District Attorney said the amount in the victim’s system was non-consequential.
A hearing has been scheduled for November 11th to review the situation.
