West Bend Police Arrest Woman Carrying Baby Jesus (Statue)

A woman arrested early Sunday in West Bend has been charged with theft and obstruction.  A police officer spotted the 21-year-old suspect carrying a baby Jesus figurine.  When he tried to stop her, she took off running.  That figurine had been stolen from Old Settlers Park.  The baby Jesus she was carrying was a part of the Nativity scene at the park.  It had been added to replace one damaged December 17th.  The woman’s name hasn’t been released.  Police say they weren’t able to connect her to the original crime at that park.
