Row of police cars, with blue and red flashing sirens. selective focus
The investigation continues into the attack of a mother on the East River Trail in De Pere.
The De Pere Police Department is saying their main focus in the case right now is figuring out who perpetrated the crime, sending a woman to a local hospital, and leaving a 5-month-old baby in the grass nearby.
The Wisconsin State Crime Lab is processing evidence in the case, which was described as being “complex” by De Pere Police, as well as being a “priority”.
All that is known about the assault is that it appears as though the victim did not know her attacker.
Police have not released any additional details about the attack, the attacker, or any potential leads.
The victim is also now recovering at home, according to police and family reports.
Anyone with any information on the case is encouraged to contact the De Pere Police Department at 920-339-8070.
