U-S Senator Ron Johnson is calling the military withdrawal from Afghanistan an “unmitigated disaster.”
The Wisconsin Republican says he always felt this country should have left a residual force of special operations personnel behind at a minimum.
Johnson refers to the way the American departure led to the collapse of the Afghan government.
One result has been the relocation of nearly 13,000 refugees to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin – and similar numbers at three other military bases.
