Sun Prairie police spent several hours interviewing a student who posted an online threat and a picture of a gun Thursday.
The student was taken into custody.
The threat was aimed at an administrator in the Sun Prairie Area School District.
Investigators determined the firearm was never at the school and the picture of a gun wasn’t taken there.
The student’s name hasn’t been released.
“Secure hold” protocols were enacted at the school but lasted less than an hour.
When the secure hold was lifted just before 12:15 pm, lunch schedules were changed so all students had a chance to eat.
