Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving won’t be taking the court tonight (Friday) when the Milwaukee Bucks visit for a preseason game.
Irving will miss the action because he hasn’t been vaccinated for COVID-19 and that violates New York City’s requirement.
Irving isn’t able to practice in Brooklyn or play in Nets home games as long as he isn’t vaccinated.
That means he will be losing a little over $380,000 every time he doesn’t play.
The Nets reportedly haven’t decided if having the star only for road games is something they want to accommodate.
If Irving misses all 41 Nets home games, he would forfeit about $15.6 million in salary.
