A major roadway in Sheboygan is now reopened to traffic.
The stretch of Union Avenue near Horace Mann Middle School had been closed since late July as crews did a complete overhaul.
The project included the replacement of the pavement, and the installation of gutters, curbs, and a new sidewalk on the stretch of road between Georgia Avenue and South 26th Street.
The job isn’t completely done, however, as the city’s Department of Public Works said that the lighting still needs to be installed.
That project is slated for later this year, with no closures expected while it is being done.
