The Manitowoc Police arrested a man over the weekend after a physical confrontation with a woman at Westfield Park.
The incident was reported to police at around 4:00 PM on Saturday (October 2nd), an officer arrived to find items strewn about and a woman with visible injuries.
The woman told officers that she and the suspect had gotten into an argument regarding her ex-boyfriend and that he struck her multiple times.
A witness to the incident confirmed that the man had struck the victim, although all three parties were visibly intoxicated.
The 43-year-old suspect claimed the strikes were accidental, but he was arrested on charges of Battery and Disorderly Conduct, each with Domestic Violence Enhancers, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
