Sheboygan County Administrator Adam Payne has revealed what the County plans to do with the federal dollars received through the American Rescue Plan Act.
The County is being allotted $22.4 million, with another $22 million going to the City of Sheboygan.
Six ARPA task forces have been created to address topics like affordable housing, behavioral health, broadband development, childcare, transportation, and workforce development.
These groups have until the end of the year to submit their reports, which will then be reviewed by Payne and the Executive Committees.
The final step is approval by the County Board.
All ARPA money must be spent by December of 2026.
