According to a report from Zutobi, Wisconsin is one of the worst states in the country when it comes to driving while intoxicated.
Zutobi is an online drivers education company, and according to their research, Wisconsin ranks #10 on the list of the States with the most DUI’s.
Their stats show that there are 557 DUI arrests per 100,000 drivers in the Dairy State, and 4.3 DUI-related fatalities per 100,000 drivers. North Dakota is rated the worst state for drunk drivers, as they have 868 DUI arrests and 7.4 DUI fatalities per year per 100,000 drivers.
The states with the least drunk drivers are Utah, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, and Vermont. It’s not all bad though, as they have reported that the number of alcohol-related fatalities in the country has fallen by 7,983 between 1985 and 2019.
A total of 10,142 fatal traffic crashes in 2019 involved alcohol, which is roughly 28% of fatal crashes. That percentage has also declined from 41% in 1985. Click here to view the full report.
