Oneida County officials report some of the area’s snowmobile trails were opened for the season Wednesday. The head of the Oneida County Snowmobile Council says there was open water when the temperature was 55 degrees less than two weeks ago. The water hasn’t been cold enough to create the ice needed for all trails to open. That’s why all lake trails are still shut down.
