Former University of Wisconsin assistant basketball coach Alando Tucker denies recording a meeting between the Badger seniors and head coach Greg Gard last season.
In an Interview with writer Seth Davis of The Athletic, he defends himself against accusations he tried to undermine Gard.
It’s the first time Tucker has spoken on the record about the controversy.
In an article published this week he said he didn’t come back to Wisconsin to be a coach.
He says he just went there to step in for Howard Moore, the assistant coach injured in a car accident that left his wife and daughter dead.
A link to the recording of the meet was sent to the Wisconsin State Journal in June.
Gard has said he isn’t sure who recorded the meeting – adding, he’s moving on.
