State Representative Tyler Vorpagel of Plymouth has voiced his support for the empowerment of parents and to keep Critical Race Theory out of classrooms.
The Assembly passed legislation improving transparency for parents by requiring school educational materials and learning activities be posted online for viewing and establishing an online portal providing details about school expenditures.
Additionally, the Assembly passed legislation preventing Critical Race Theory concepts from being taught in classrooms.
The legislation does not prevent the teaching or discussion of historical events or the history of racism.
In a written statement, Vorpagel said, “As parents, we are the decision-makers when it comes to our children’s education. I was proud to support these bills today, helping empower parents so that they can ensure their children are receiving a proper education in Wisconsin.”
