A Manitowoc man was arrested over the weekend after he reportedly slashed the tires on a truck, and crashed his motorcycle.
Manitowoc Police were dispatched to a home in the 2300 block of South 23rd Street at around 3:00 PM on Saturday (September 25th) on a report of an assault.
When they arrived the officers were shown a video that clearly showed the 60 -year-old suspect kneel down next to a truck and slash the tires. The owner of the truck then appeared and struck the slasher with a garden hoe. The fight was broken up, but not before the truck owner slashed the tires of the other man’s motorcycle, but he was able to flee the scene.
The truck owner claimed that the man had threatened him with a box cutter, which caused him to attack with the hoe.
The motorcycle was later found abandoned, with the suspect found following a search with the help of a K9 unit.
The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained while crashing his bike, and was arrested on several charges including Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Bail Jumping.
