A Wisconsin legislative committee has heard three hours of testimony on Critical Race Theory in higher education.
Speakers were invited by leaders of the Committee or Universities and Technical Colleges for the Wednesday hearing at the Capitol.
Opponents questioned whether it should be taught even at the university level.
A bill to ban schools from teaching C-R-T is moving forward in the Legislature, but Democratic Governor Tony Evers is expected to veto it if it makes it to his desk.
Representatives from the University of Wisconsin System told lawmakers it’s presented mostly in graduate-level courses and is never presented as a matter of fact.
