Thousands of volunteers are important to keep the international event going at the Whistling Straits course alongside Lake Michigan.
Organizers say about 30,000 people applied for the 4,000 volunteer positions.
Volunteers are wearing red, white, and blue windbreakers to go with their red volunteer lanyard around their neck.
