After five weeks battling COVID-19 induced pneumonia First District State Senator Andre Jacque has been discharged from the hospital.
The De Pere Republican-who serves Northern Manitowoc County in his constituency- contracted the virus in early August and about a week later was placed on a ventilator. His spokesman Matt Tompach says that the local legislator is doing much better.
Tompach adds that Jacque is feeling good mentally breathing well and making substantial progress towards regaining his health. The Senator will continue respiratory and occupational therapy and there is no timetable set for Jacque to return to work.
