Here’s a look at high school sports from yesterday.
In cross country running, Plymouth was the overall winner in the girls division of the Bob Burzynski invitational at Valders, with a score of 52. Oostburg was second at 62, with Valders just a point behind at 63. Hannah Welch of Valders won the meet in 19:44. Mishicot place 11th and Roncalli was 13th. On the boys side, Valders was the winner, with Shane Griepentrog leading the way at 15:46. Teammate Clay Taylor was second. Roncalli took ninth place.
In girls tennis, Olivia Minikel of Manitowoc Lincoln continued her undefeated season as the Ships beat Pulaski four matches to three. Sophia Wergin and Molly Forkins also won singles matches. The number one doubles team of McKenna Pleus and Hannah Dvorak also scored a win.
Turning to boys soccer, Lincoln was defeated 3-1 by Green Bay East with Evan Dombrowski scoring the Ships only goal.
In girls Volleyball, Two Rivers shut out Brillion 3-0, and the Raiders are now 8-1 overall and 3-0 in conference action.
