A 36-year-old Beaver Dam man is going to prison for more than two decades for causing a fatal wrong-way crash two years ago.
Investigators say Dustin Vandergailen had both cocaine and alcohol in his system at the time.
He pleaded no contest to homicide by vehicle related to the use of a controlled substance.
Prosecutors told the court Vandergailen hit two vehicles while trying to pass on a county road.
Six people were injured and one was killed.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says he had been driving at 77 miles an hour before the impact and made no effort to avoid the oncoming vehicles.
