The City of Manitowoc, alongside Manitowoc County and Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission, are inviting the public to an open house, where they can share the details of their newly created Water Trail Plan.
The Manitowoc River Water Trail spans from the Clarks Mills Dam to Lake Michigan along with the Little Manitowoc River, with this new plan inventorying existing access sites and lays out recommendations for improvements to those sites.
It was developed with the goals of increasing and improving access for non-motorized boating such as canoeing and kayaking along with creating a recognizable, accessible, and enjoyable water trail.
All three entities will be on hand for the unveiling of the plan, which will be held at 6:00 this evening inside the Manitowoc Senior Center.
