Students at Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School in Sun Prairie were summoned to an all-school virtual meeting Tuesday to talk about fighting.
Officials say there was a string of altercations Monday – three of which became physical. That led school administrators to stop issuing hall passes.
Acting Principal Anne Fischer sent a letter to parents saying she would use the meeting to reinforce expectations, lay out how the school would respond, and reiterate its commitment to safety.
Fischer also asked those families to talk to their students about getting to class on time and following the rules.
Sun Prairie police were called to intercede but its officers didn’t find a weapon and they say there was no indication any of the students had one.
