A 39-year-old Milwaukee man who admits he pointed a laser at a law enforcement aircraft says he actually supports police.
Jeremiah Belen has entered a guilty plea to the felony charge. Belen apologized for his actions during protests over police brutality last year.
He will be on probation for a year. Belen says he decided to point the laser at the aircraft because he was bored after being laid off from work.
The crew members who were in the two aircraft at the time said the laser did hit their cockpit and forced them to maneuver away from it.
