As part of its Northeast Wisconsin pandemic recovery ‘bounce back’ plan, the Bay Area Workforce Development Board has announced the immediate availability of 100 vocational training scholarships available to Northeastern Wisconsinites.
Scholarships are available in amounts up to $8,000 for eligible individuals interested in pursuing technical training leading to a household-supporting career in one of five high-demand industry sectors – transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, or information technology.
In partnership with area technical colleges, independent regional training providers, and Bay Area’s 11-county American Job Center system, these scholarships can be used by eligible participants for tuition, textbooks, transportation, and childcare assistance, required tools/equipment/uniforms, and other costs directly associated with thousands of approved training programs.
To learn more about these scholarship opportunities and begin the application process, please access the Bay Area Workforce Development Board website at BayAreaWDB.org.
