Voters go to the polls today (Tuesday) to narrow the field for one state Senate seat and two in the Assembly. Much of the attention is focused on the 10th Senate district where Republican state representatives Adam Jarchow and Shannon Zimmerman are competing for the seat held by Senator Sheila Harsdorf. The winner will meet the top vote-getter among three Democrats also running in a primary. Additionally, there is a Republican primary in the 58th Assembly District near Milwaukee and a Democratic primary in the 66th Assembly District in Racine. Winners of today’s primary elections will run in the general elections January 16th.
