The largest shipwreck in Lake Michigan, the Arctic Shipwreck, was placed on the State Register of Historic Places yesterday. The ship, which sunk near Manitowoc, was built in 1881 And sunk in 1930. Being added to the Register, means State laws now protect the shipwreck. Removing, defacing, displacing or destroying artifacts or sites is a crime.
