The Badgers defense is anticipating Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford returning to his 2019 form when the Nittany Lions visit Camp Randall Stadium Saturday (September 4th).
Clifford threw 23 touchdown passes for Penn State in an 11-and-two season that ended with a Cotton Bowl victory.
Last year was a different story. Clifford didn’t perform and his team started the season 0-5.
Badgers linebacker Jack Sanborn says Clifford has proven himself in the Big Ten.
A stadium full of fans will be waiting when the two Big Ten powers open the season with kick-off at 11:00 a-m.
Badgers football fans headed to Camp Randall Stadium for Saturday’s Big Ten Conference opener are being told to get there early.
The University of Wisconsin Athletics Department says if you show up between 9:30 and 10:15 a-m you should be able to waltz right into the stadium in a minute or less.
Between 10:15 and 10:35 a-m you may face a five to 10-minute wait – and, if you cut it close and don’t get there until 10:35 or later you could miss the pregame activities and even the start of the game.
A switch to all-digital ticketing may cause delays.
The Badger players are expected to take the field for warmups at about 10:05 a-m.
