The state of Wisconsin now has two volleyball teams in the A-V-C-A Top 25 poll this week.
Wisconsin held onto its number-two ranking with wins over T-C-U and number-10 Baylor.
A three-game weekend sweep by Marquette has boosted the Golden Eagles into a tie for 25th.
Marquette has a chance for a solid season. Not only is the team a strong one, the schedule only includes two ranked teams – Wisconsin and defending national champion Kentucky.
The Wildcats are ranked third in the latest poll.
The Golden Eagles return to action Friday by kicking off the Illinois State Redbird Classic with a 7:00 p-m match against Illinois-Chicago.
Games against Ohio and the Redbirds will follow.
