Two former Badgers put up good performances in the final preseason games for their teams.
Wide receiver Quintez Cephus beat the Indianapolis Colts’ coverage for a touchdown in the Detroit Lions’ 27-17 loss Friday night. Two starting Detroit wide receivers left the team in the off-season, giving Cephus the chance for a lot more action.
His former teammate, Isaiahh Loudermilk was equally impressive for the Pittsburgh Steelers Friday night. The second-year defensive end had five tackles, one tackle-for-loss, one sack, and a quarterback hit as Pittsburgh dropped a 34-9 decision at Carolina. The greatly improves his chances to be on the Steelers’ final 53-man roster.
