The 2021 college football season opener at Camp Randall Stadium might be a bigger game than most people thought.
Analyst Kirk Herbstreit thinks the winner of the Wisconsin-Pen State game will move into the top-10 rankings and have a good shot at making the College Football Playoffs.
Herbstreit’s comments came on the Dan Patrick Show Wednesday.
He tabbed the Badgers as a possible “surprise team.”
Both teams are trying to bounce back from disappointing performances last season.
Wisconsin is expected to be about a 3.5 point favorite because the Badgers are playing at home.
