An 18-year-old man has been sentenced in a Green Bay shooting case from 2019.
Shaquille Hamilton was convicted on charges of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, 1st Degree Endangering Safety, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Damage to Property, and will be spending the next 10 years in prison.
After he is released, he will also be on extended supervision for 10 years and will have to perform 1,000 hours of community service.
Hamilton reportedly fired a weapon at Davon Smith in the St. George Street and Smith Street area, striking him in the face and chest.
Smith was taken to a local hospital but has since recovered.
Hamilton was 16 at the time of the shooting, but Wisconsin law indicates that suspects 10 and older who have been charged with homicide or attempted homicide are tried as adults.
