A fugitive sex offender wanted in Montana has been jailed in Green County after he was reported to be acting suspiciously.
Todd Heitkemper was arrested after Green County officials found his name on the National Sex Offender Registry with an active warrant for his arrest.
The Montana Department of Justice was contacted.
Heitkemper was located in New Glarus Monday at about 5:30 p-m and he was taken into custody.
He’s awaiting extradition to Montana where he faces several felony charges.
