Over the summer, the Save the Flame Committee in Manitowoc was able to finally surpass their $200,000 fundraising goal for the Save the Flame Fund.
That money will go toward ensuring the Eternal Flame, located on North 18th Street, just south of Michigan Avenue, will burn forever in remembrance of all the brave men and women who died in service to their country.
Their celebration will take place at 9:00 this morning at the Flame, where local dignitaries, the Ant Hill Mob, and some local Boy and Girl Scout Troops will be on hand.
The public is invited to celebrate this tremendous occasion and to honor those who gave everything they had so we could remain free.
