Two more lawsuits have been filed in Madison over redistricting in the state. One was filed with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and another was filed in federal court.
That means there are currently legal fights on both the state and federal level – before the Legislature has even proposed a district boundary map, or taken a vote on where those lines should be.
The list of lawsuits started when Democrats filed a suit in federal court nearly two weeks ago.
All the suits argue the current maps adopted 10 years are unconstitutional and the courts need to come up with a plan to draw new lines.
