Wisconsin Badgers senior center Kayden Lyles may have to step up his game if he wants to keep his job.
Lyles started at center last season, but his coaches say he’s getting some competition during the Badgers’ fall camp.
Sophomore Joe Tippman has taken reps with the first-team offense this week.
He missed all but one game last season after having knee surgery.
The six-foot-six, 320-pounder was a four-star recruit at offensive tackles out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Coaches say he has adjusted well to the new position.
Tippman says he and Lyles push each other to be better.
