Part of West St. Paul Avenue in Milwaukee is now officially a historic district. The Wisconsin Historical Society says there are 22 industrial buildings from North 11th Street to North 21st Street which can now get state and federal historic preservation tax credits in order to perform some restoration work. Menomonee Valley Partners Incorporated, which led the push to get the designation for that stretch, says the district will be recommended for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, which is expected by the end of January.
