Wisconsin’s attorney general has filed suit to force the chairman of the Natural Resources board to give up his position.
Fred Prehn was appointed to the board in 2015 and his term ended May 1st.
Governor Tony Evers named Sandra Nass to take his place, but Prehn has refused to step down.
He points to a state law that says he can serve until the Wisconsin Senate confirms his replacement.
That hasn’t happened yet.
Kaul filed the suit in Dane County Circuit Court Tuesday asking a judge to order Prehn to step aside.
