The Green Bay Packers cut their roster to 85 players before Tuesday’s N-F-L deadline.
They waived tight end Isaac Nauta and wide receiver DeAndre Thompkins to injured reserve.
Injury settlements for Nauta and Thompkins are possible.
The Packers also released offensive lineman Zack Johnson and made a trade Tuesday, sending cornerback Josh Jackson to the New York Giants for cornerback Isaac Yiadom.
If they hadn’t made the trade, the Packers were likely going to release Jackson after a subpar performance in the preseason opener.
